The Center for Community Innovation (CCI) is committed to strengthening knowledge, expertise, and connections within the Mid-Valley non-profit sector by providing regular, accessible, and affordable non-profit professional development opportunities.
As you know, difficulty in finding qualified candidates to fill open positions at Mid-Valley non-profits is a serious threat to the health of these organizations that do so much to help make this a great place to live. These shortages are especially critical at the executive director and manager levels. Of equal concern is the lack of available non-profit trainings for non-profit board members. The unfortunate reality is that very few board members have had any training at all in what it takes to be a good, effective director serving on a non-profit board.
We know that non-profits play a vital role in the Mid-Willamette Valley. CCI is committed to helping your organization succeed by addressing the unique challenges and needs facing mission-driven and charitable organizations. Through our non-profit trainings and professional development opportunities you, your staff, and volunteers will be given the necessary tools and resources to continue that vital work.
*A scholarship fund has been created to assure opportunities are especially available to women working at area nonprofits . Women play a key role in our nonprofits and removing financial barriers to make training and program opportunities available to women is consistent with our history.
